Youth & Sports Activities

Constructive and purposeful activities have enormous benefits for young people. They can encourage and enable children and young people to contribute to their communities and help divert them from anti-social behaviour.

Holding professional qualifications in youth work and in a variety of outdoor activities, we are able to develop and deliver appropriate activities for young people that are designed to 'help children and young people achieve more', whether this be a 'one-off' activity or sustained development and intervention work with young people.

We aim to support, challenge and enable the learning of young people in order that they may realise their full potential in shaping their own lives, and promote the social and economic inclusion of all young people so that they can contribute to, influence, and be valued as part of their communities and society as a whole.

Some of the outdoor activities we can provide and organise include:

Archery; Indoor & Outdoor Climbing; Hillwalking; Canoeing; Raft Building; High Ropes; Mountain Biking; Problem Solving & Team Building; Camping; Zip Wire.

Through the youth activities we deliver, it is our aim to give all young people the chance of a positive future by helping them to learn in ways that motivate and stretch them and enable them to achieve; engage in positive developmental activities; make informed choices about their lives and benefit from high-quality, targeted support before problems escalate.

We have extensive experience in running holiday programmes, providing diversionary and developmental activities and sports-based intervention programmes, for young people at risk of social exclusion during the school holidays and have worked in successful partnerships with local and national agencies to achieve targeted outcomes.

We are regularly involved with the organisation and delivery of a range of projects and activities to encourage youth participation in sports, ranging from under 11's to 24 years of age. Partnership working with clubs, local, and national organisations, enables us to deliver comprehensive programmes for young people. We have worked closely with schools and youth organisations to help support young people gain coaching and sports leadership qualifications.

Having over 30 years experience of organising and running Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions at all levels, both within the UK and overseas, as well as coordinating other sections of the DofE, we are able to work alongside organiAAP Logosations to deliver the programme in a positive and successful manner.

We are an Approved Activity Provider for the DofE, running successful 'open' expedition opportunities for participants, as well as providing expedition training for Operating Authorities and individual DofE Groups.
